2020 was about a chaotic as it could have been for teachers and students all across American thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. Towards the end of spring/beginning of Summer 2021, it seemed like things were returning back to normal. Schools began reopening in person while others fully committed to online learning after going through the "teething phases" of doing everything on Zoom.

So what are students to do? Will they be returning to school in person? Will there be lockdowns? Are they going to get over the crucible of destruction that was 2020's school year? Are people still buying feet pics?

If the first item on your to-do list is to make a to-do list, and you didn't even get to that, you know things are out of control. This poor teacher is not alone in being overwhelmed and stressed out. Maybe there's some consolation in that fact.

Some just wanted to know where the heck the time went and they aren't afraid to invoke Loki to show just how they feel about it. Others are trying to mentally manifest some really messed up stuff so they can keep the quarantine life going.

Still sleeping in to combat overcome the stress of the pandemic? Yeah. Even if your kids are going to school in person or from home, or hybrid, it's going to be a lot to deal with.

And even if you are out of school, the trauma of that dread of having to return can really weigh you down. But if you are returning to the halls, maybe taking an aggressively fun stance on the entire ordeal will make your time there much much better.

And if you're paying money to go to a school "just to get a degree" and hope that a sheet of paper saying you're certified is enough to get you a job (it isn't) then spend more money by paying someone to do the assignments that are supposed to make said sheet of paper worth something.

And in case going back to school in 2021 is a huge pain in the butt, then remember that it can't possibly be worse than 2020.

Anyone who thinks that online learning is any easier than in-person school can sit down right now. 2020 proved that.

This was so bizarre. Teachers were virtually taking their new students around the school that they can't be in. "Here's the library. We could have had a lot of fun reading books in there. Here's the gym. Would have been nice to be able to run around in there." Must feel great to be on the receiving end of that.

I believe the word you're looking for is, "Yikes." It's too true. How did we expect kids to return to learning, whether online or in person, when the rest of the world was a disaster zone. Kids are perceptive, but we somehow managed to persevere. Ahh humanity.

This is too funny. Sometimes, no matter how weird and different school is, kids and still kids and they're little stinkers. I would be a terrible teacher because I would probably burst into tears and yell, "I'm doing the best that I can!" if a child asked me this three weeks into classes.

Many schools and colleges used a hodge-podge approach to dealing with school and COVID-19, only quarantining those who were definitely exposed. At this school, classes hadn't even started before they had a COVID outbreak. This did not bode well for the rest of the year.

Kids who had trouble staying awake and attentive in actual school are definitely having a hard time adjusting to attending school three feet from their bed. I get it. I mean, it's right there.

If you think online learning is somehow more lenient and easier thank in-person school, think again. I can't articulate why, but I think it's probably so much worse to get notified by email or chat message about new assignments than it would be if you were in person and a teacher was just telling you about them.
